Scheduled Water Interruption

Posted Date:       10/07/2019

WHEN:

Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (7 hours)

WHERE:

Some areas served by Riverside Water Supply System (WSS):

Some Tacunan areas: Deca Homes Subd., Purok 1 to 10, Purok 18 Upper Mintal, Sta. Cecilia Homes, Sitio Biatilisan, Tierra Nueva, and Bagong Pag-asa HOA

Some Catalunan Grande areas: Sta. Martha, Sitio Felomina, Sitio Sto. Niño Ilihan, Apo Highlands Subd., Santiago Villas Subd., Alejandra National HOA, San Miguel HOA, Sitio San Pedro, and South Pointe Homes

WHY:

Water supply has to be temporarily shut off in the affected areas to give way to the installation of a Pressure Regulating Valve along Old Davao-Bukidnon Road in Brgy. Ula. The project is among DCWD’s non-revenue water reduction strategies.

For Purok 10 and Purok 18 Upper Mintal, simultaneous to said installation work, DCWD will also tap a newly installed pipeline to DCWD’s existing pipeline for the mainline improvement at Purok 10. Once completed, the project will allow for the accommodation of additional service connections.

WHEN:

Friday, October 11, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (7 hours)

WHERE:

Some areas served by Toril WSS:

Some Toril areas: Purok Pagkaka-isa, Concordo Compound, Toril Executive Village, Manggahan, and Kalye Pogi in Descuatan Street

Some Lower Lubogan areas: Purok 6 ICC, Purok 9 Sto. Niño, Purok 11, Purok 13 GTH, and Purok 15 Saha

WHY:

Water supply has to be temporarily shut off in the affected areas to give way to the tapping and looping of a newly installed pipeline to DCWD’s existing pipeline along Vergara St., Descuatan St., Vergen Delos Remedios St., and the road from corner Davao-Cotabato Road to San Miguel Proper in Toril. Once completed, the project will increase water pressure in the affected areas.

Notes:

1) The would-be affected customers are advised to store water in clean and covered containers at least two days before schedule.

2) Water supply may be restored earlier if works go smoothly or later if unforeseen problems arise.

3) DCWD conducts flushing after service works are completed. However, once water is restored, customers are advised to open all faucets and allow water to run for at least two minutes. Do not drink tap water immediately but if needed, boil water beforehand as safety precaution.
