Production Stands at 79.7 Million Cu.M

“Production levels during the first six months of the year exceeded 2009’s target by 3.48 percent.”

“Half-way into the year, NRW was recorded at 0.84 percentage points away from the year’s target of 25 percent.”

The volume of water produced during the past 12 months stood at 79.721 million cubic meters, just 0.01 percent more than the same period last month’s record of 79.714 million.

Increases were noted for four out of the nine water systems during the month. The biggest increase in terms of volume was registered in Lubogan with production higher by 75,256 cubic meters. This was expected since the supply has been augmented with the re-opening of Dacoville well early in the year.

Next was Cabantian which rose by 32,025 cubic meters. The other two systems with increased production this month were Dumoy (3,413) and Lumondao (253).

Lumondao’s increase resulted from the system’s inactive status for the most part of the previous year.
On the other hand, Panacan registered the biggest drop in production during the period at 57,588 cubic meters. Tugbok also produced less this time by 27,370 cubic meters. The remaining three systems sustained decreases of less than 10,000 cubic meters.

Billed Consumption Steady at 58.1 Million Cu.M

Billed consumption during the past 12 months likewise remained steady at 58.1 million cubic meters. For the month of June alone, a total of 4.782 million cubic meters was billed to the consumers, lower by just about 0.05 percent compared to June 2008’s figure.

Three water systems incurred declines in billed consumption compared last month, with Dumoy having the biggest drop of 59,007 cubic meters. Panacan and Calinan also sustained decreases albeit at negligible levels.

On the other hand, Tugbok’s billed consumption this month rose by 29,668 cubic meters. Toril and Lubogan  incurred increases by  almost the same levels at about 9,000 cubic meters each.

Consumption levels since January this year have exceeded the year’s target by 2.32 percent on the average, although it fell short in February, March and June.

NRW Improves to 25.84% in First 6 Months

NRW during the first half of the year was registered at 25.84 percent, less than a percentage point away from the year’s target of 25 percent.

On the other hand, using the 12-month moving percentage computation of NRW, the declining trend during the past few months took a momentary break this month with NRW recorded at 27.06 percent from 27.05 percent last month.

The current rate is over 2 percentage points higher than the year’s target of 25 percent. Hopes of achieving the NRW target at year’s end are high with actual consumption levels exceeding

the target by 2.32 percent during the first six months and production levels falling within acceptable limits.
Among the water systems, four exhibited below 25 percent NRW levels. These are Lumondao (12.02%), Panacan (19.96%), Dumoy (22.69%) and Toril (24.82%).

On the other extreme, Malagos, Lubogan, Calinan and Tugbok showed very high NRW levels at 61.62, 51.29, 48.16 and 45.78 percent, respectively, a feat that has hounded the systems for quite a while now.
