DCWD currently pursues a path that is defined by the NICER agenda, which stands for Non-Revenue Water Reduction, Infrastructure Development, Customer Satisfaction, Environmental Protection and Resource Management.

Goals have been set for each point of the agenda. In particular, non-revenue water is targeted to reduce to 25%, corresponding to LWUA’s industry average. In order to meet this target, DCWD is pursuing various strategies for NRW reduction such as mainline replacement, meter replacement, District Metered Area (DMA) establishment, intensified illegal connection and leak detection efforts and NRW awareness.
